Control motor via TPS and/or Drive By Wire signal???

You're not being ambitus it's all doable if you want to spend the time and money.. I find the torque amp to be a bit 1/2 assed .. like its a V1 that you wouldn't buy till v2 comes out... It lacks adjustability in seemingly every way. And where is the screen / app (i dont want an app) with it's status... you have no idea of charge level... Crazy basic stuff is missing.

There is a app called Torque to can do some these features already in a simple be works very well on any Android head unit. It is on the Android head that i am installing my my car. I sure this app can be modified to monitor other info. It takes all it info via Bluetooth from the OBDII port. It very accurate also. So taking any app like Torque as baseline should help make it a bit easier.

yes of course I know Torque ... I have a Torque pro on my phone.
But there is no need to reverse engineer everything! There is a very nice python library which implements the ELM327 serial AT command protocol to do all kinds of chit in software. Not saying that python will be the final implementatiom language ... but it certainly is much easier to read that code instead of reverse engineer java (android) byte code!

re bluetooth: not a fan of serious usage of a bluetooth dongle with all the pairing, datarate and connection issues if I want to make the coupling of the control process to obd2 reliable. Therefor a high quality (and FAST) Obd2/serial/usb adapter was picked by me ...

If you want a teaser (which works just as fine with my cable):
watch the part 4 of the same tuber as well ...
