    What batteries are you using?

It is not like it goes from not puffed to puffed over night it's a very slow process and it maybe hard to tell if the puffing is minor... This is more for the person that is trying to build a "set and forget " setup that they can build and walk away from and never look at for 8 years. Here are...

So ... my Battery Odyssey so far: All batteries ordered from Aliexpress ( there is no where else to get batteries from ) 1) Im not going to be using RC Lipos ..because. A) They are not meant to be stored charged as they will puff up ( i have some that this has happened too. ) B) Their...

    Flip flopping E-Turbo Project

it's actually hot to day 30c ... battery temp was 53c so that must roughly be the air temp

    Flip flopping E-Turbo Project

Well cooling is an interesting topic.. Taking WB Project as an example (because he is the only one with a similar setup) He is pulling some 6Kw of power lets say 90-95% efficiency gives you 600-300watts lost to heat .. which to me seems like a lot ... . However he claims that without water...

    Flip flopping E-Turbo Project

More pictures of the final mockup.. now i just have to get it made, which will probably take ages because im sure they will want quite a bit of money to make this up. FYI the fan shroud will always be 3d printed but not in this colour.

Here is the supercharger I would start with...

i can't get batteries into the country too.. there is literally no option.. Im guessing when we start letting people back into the country mid next year then i might be able to get them in :(

    Flip flopping E-Turbo Project

Here is a mock up... I still need to design a bracket for it, which will connect to the throttle body I also have to make a fan shroud.

Here is the supercharger I would start with...

You can never tell what you will get with batteries until you have already received them and tested them.

Direct drive setup for machining. Any thoughts ?

im interested to see what happens to it thanks to the extra centrifugal force from it spinning. lol

Has any one looked at using a Rotrex unit sinc 10,000-12,000Rpm input shaft =75,000-100,000rpm impeller speed

The KV would depend on the voltage you intend to run on .. Are you from the ft86club ?

Direct drive setup for machining. Any thoughts ?

Yeah look i know what you mean... But i feel like we just have to try some things and see if they work or not... We are all pioneering here. If this doesn't then i guess i'll have to get something made up... But i do want it removable, so i dont think press fit or heating stuff up would be...

Direct drive setup for machining. Any thoughts ?

Fyi i have bought one of these from this company.. previous coupler testing has shown these to be machined well.. (not cheaply thrown together) In a perfect world this is balanced. lol

Where does this go ? im 99% sure that goes to the rocker cover / crank case. And that should be on the inlet side of your turbo after the MAF.. having it after the turbo will be pressurizing your crank case!

Direct drive setup for machining. Any thoughts ?

i dont use set screw couplers.. they by design force the couplers/shaft to the opposite side of the coupler and thus out of center and balance.. i much preferer the camping ones which ensures center alignment. Clamping ones also dont require a flat spot... i have a you tube video on how bad...
