Short term only?

Hi guys,

Are these for racing / Short term only? I have a 2004 Ford Ranger that I would like more oomf on mountain passes and towing so I was wondering if one of these might work?

I think the big limiter will always be the batteries, you cant run one off the normal car battery and alternator
