Hello! I'm a mechanical engineer in the automotive industry (Detroit area). I've got a good bit of experience with turbo's and compressor maps, I just wish I hadn't given up on my RC hobbies so many years ago!
I've had the thought for a while now that an e turbo should be totally feasible with advancements in motors and batteries, but I got discouraged after not being able to find ultra high (100,000+) rpm motors of suitable size and I really wanted to stay direct drive for simplicity/additional cost of superchargers over turbos.
But then the you tube algorithm spoke to me haha. Alex and WB's videos found me and I've been re-inspired. Here to learn and see what things i've missed in my own research. The forum seems a little dead, but it's a small community, so hopefully we can keep it growing! I think electrified forced induction has some real promise!
