S'Garnon! The name's Anthony, or Beano for short, and I'm from Australia.
I own a 2010 Holden Commodore SV6 Ute that's just begging, pleading for boost.

Due to packaging constraints in the engine bay, I'm seeing that the whole idea of running exhaust driven turbochargers is going to be a bit of a pain in the butt, however CAPA Performance makes a supercharger kit for my car... I however have always wanted to do things a little differently.
As such, since I'm only looking at boost to improve the torque of my vehicle (i.e, making it easier to haul stuff around and get up to speed relatively quickly) I feel that an Electric turbo might be way to go.
I just want to learn about the basics of what I'd need to get my car to respond to boost. It doesn't have a MAP sensor, and no provision to allow one to be installed, and I just want to learn how I would go about using the MAF and IAT to determine fueling for such a setup. Barely anyone's going to touch a LLT V6 engine, let alone one with a honking great electric turbo on it, so I want to learn the ins and outs of electric boosting.
Also, since Australia's quite a sunny place, I always thought about the idea of capturing charge for the boost batteries using a solar panel array on a hardcover on the bed.
I've already done quite a bit to this ute. It's got an active exhaust system that uses the vacuum of the engine to close valves in the exhaust when idle. I did that using a custom CNC Machined plate.
Other mods planned include an oil cooler and remote oil filter, and well, the electric turbo.
Hope to learn a lot from all you fine people here
