Hi, my name is Tony Allen, been tinkering with cars most my life.
Grew up in Phoenix, joined the USAF in 1986. Spent 15 years in Europe on/off, and lived all over the states. Now I live in Buffalo, Go Bills!
In the USAF I worked on anything that is electronic that lands planes..... Radars, ILS, VORTAC, TACAN, Radios, weather equipment, etc. to a Digital Ionospheric Sounding System (DISS). We even have few Solar telescopes in my careerfield that are in Italy, PR, and Australia. I never had the chance to work on them, but knew a lot of the guys that did.
My 1st car was a 1976 Celica fastback, head on collision totaled that car or I would probably still have it today.
Then moved on to a 1973 Roadrunner with a 340, which that got totaled by a drunk driver. Took that insurance money and bought a Boss 302 Cougar Eliminator, had that car for a few years, sold it for a Vortech S-trimed 1990 Stang. I took the Stang with me to England to sell, so I could get my true dream car, an R32 GTR. Fast forward to today, I now own 4 R32 GTRs, 1965 Sunbeam Alpine (Tiger), 1972 Opel GT, and a couple of Nissan Figaros.
My main purpose of building/using an electric supercharger is to provide power under the curve for my R32 GTR build. Probably just need something to push about 5lbs-6lbs up to about 2200-2500rmps, then let the bigger turbo take over.
