I just ran across this & found it quite exciting. Seems capable of providing 7:1+ pressure ratios at a fraction of the rpm's needed thus far.
LOL ... I enjoyed your "Hemingway" explosionIt looks interesting, but isn't it more intended for relatively high pressure ratios/low volume compression? I'm having a hard time getting a clear mental picture of how it works and the internal construction of the thing. They're probably just trying to protect their intellectual property. And I agree with cmoalem about the language - even the name stumbles off the tongue like a drunk falling out of a pub late at night, having pissed his pants, eventually passing out on the sidewalk in a puddle of his own vomit, dry-heaving until dawn... too graphic? Sorry, my inner Hemingway apparently took over.
FeTu Roticulate! Or die! Is it a verb? Kinda sounds like one...
Would love to know more about how it actually works.
