Electric bike motors?

How well do you guys think a ebike kit would drive a P2 headunit? Maybe a kit like this with a 75v battery:

I know it would need to be overdriven but does it just take too much power to overdrive?
Seems like a very torquey motor and the ebike stuff is proven to take some abuse.

If you guys think it's feasible, I may give it a shot on my atlas 4.2L engine. If it doesn't work out, I can can build a bike out of the parts so its not a total waste.
Edit: updated web page to manufacturer site.

That seems a bit sketchy - 4kW motor but 18kW? You could try it - it might work, but you'd need a pretty significant step-up; like at least 8:1 (you'll never get to the motor's max speed, so figure 4,000 rpm; at 8:1 you'd be looking at 32,000 impeller rpm, which would be enough to support ~600 hp (more with less boost, less with more boost)).

If you're willing to give it a shot, I'd love to see how it really performs. The higher voltage means less amps, better battery selection, and the lower motor rpm means it's easier to control.

So I see pros and cons - but if you're ok with potentially ending up with an e bike, then go for it. That's literally the worst that could happen. Again, I'd really love to see how it performs simply because we've been direct-driving things. This would be a different approach and a whole new set of data points.

Welcome, btw!

Thanks, I had a turbo on one of these motors in the past and experience tuning it. I have logs from the turbo setup so I could compare injector duty cycle, mass airflow, and iat at different boost levels to the electric turbo. That would be interesting to see.
I look forward to more videos on your p2 easier/ cheaper setup that may sway the direction I go with it.

Also I think the motor manufacturer rates that motor at around 4kw but alot of people on the ebike forums have pushed them reliably alot harder. Those guys ride all out for long periods and I'm only looking to do short burst.
With that said I think 18kw is not realistic.

I just wish I could do this stuff full time. I will get to the P2 stuff as soon as I can; but it might be late July before I can. Hopefully sooner, but there are other things I'm wanting to explore too.
