Hi Everyone, my name is Rob and I’m a big car guy. I’ve owned a lot in the past and usually own 3-4 at a time. Only thing limiting is the amount of garage space.lol
I recently bought a nice bright blue Fiat 500 Sport and purposely did not get an Abarth so I can experiment with electric boost to beat a Abarth. I had an e-turbo concept in my head for over 25 years. just never really acted on n to be fair the technology wasn’t there yet. I also have a lot of unique engine designs I have came up with. Was always a tinkerer and theorist as a kid. Wanted to be a scientist when I grew up but that never unfolded but I digress.
So now I have the vehicle test bed and I think I want to purchase Alex‘s kit that he highlighted in his video. Unless there is a better cheaper alternative for mild horsepower I don’t need much.
Stock horsepower is 101hp. I put some hot plugs and a k&n air filter so it’s prob at 105hp conservatively.
I want to get it to about 140~150hp. This would beat the 160hp Abarth version since they are heavier and e-turbos spool fast and stay at max rpm and make so much more consistent power throughout the power and from my understanding.
I’d first like to see if anyone has done this for a Fiat 500 and then also if anyone has any tips or any simple bang for the buck kits you might know of to help me in my quest I would greatly appreciate. I’ve excited and am looking forward to hearing from you and finishing this project! Glad to be aboard. Thanks!
