Hey all.
first to introduce myself:
My name is George, a retired police office and now food truck owner and content creator for Initial Auto. I take in old cars like others take in homeless pets.
My introduction to E-Boost came in the early 2000s when i still had my FC NA and a guy out of pennsylvania came to the RX7 forums claiming that he would build an electric tesla pump to work as turbo for cars. This was also my first real introduction to Nikola Tesla! The Guy was actually legit and was working on the project but his company ended up failing and many weeped, myself included. a bit before that, i had purchased the E-ram Electric supercharger but no real gains. i think the tech as well as the computing tech wasn't up to par.
more recently, i was on the FT86 forums and actually read through the whole phantom threads there and some people are actually trying ot duplicate the tech since the phantom was discontinued. We might want to reach out to those guys and bring them on board. Also the phantom was even BIGGER on the MX% forums as well with a huge following.
As of late, i was about to purchase a used phantom from a ft86 forum member that has some issues with the electronics but i was not able to because the guy sold it elsewhere.
I want to boost my hr34 skyline with an E charger and document it for my channel because, living and driving the Touge/mountain pass so often, i'm more interested in a cars potential around the corners and not all out BHP (though i will be upgrading engine at some point!)
Thank you so much for setting this forum up and i certainly will be a mainstay as i've been hooked on the idea of E-Boost for a LONG TIME!
@AlexLTDLX i've been following your work and am keen to help out in any way i can. looking forward to getting ot know the other members here as well as i see we have a few JDMers here as well
All the best Everyone
