Hey,
I’m a computer engineer and own a 1.8 ‘96 Mazda MX5, it’s running a Haltech Elite 1500 ECU (Was previously on Speeduino), it currently has; lightweight flywheel, upgraded clutch and Toyota silvertop ITBs which I plan to upgrade to DBW Yamaha R1 throttles.
I’m currently designing a new manifold adapter and a plenum with help from my brother and test fitting by 3D printing, the finalised manifold adapter by the way will most likely be machined out of aluminium.

My eventual goal is to have the car forced induction with ITBs making up to 240hp on stock internals, I was going to turbocharge the car however I believe in the benefits of Electric supercharging.

I have some experience building DIY lithium batteries, I built a 4S lifepo 3kwh battery in a portable box with Anderson plugs for power in and out and some extra peripherals.
For the electric boost I’ll be building something like 12S LiPo with a BMS for safety and monitoring (by the way some BMS have CAN which could be used in combination with ECUs like Haltech for control and safety)

I have been researching different combinations of superchargers, batteries and motors for months now since finding AlexLTD on YouTube.
I’m seriously considering buying a Rotrex C30 series supercharger however it may need to wait as there are other priorities in my life and on the car to deal with first.

Preparations and misc tasks I want to complete before dosing on electric boost:
Reinstall original AC system taken out by previous owner
550CC injectors
DW100 fuel pump upgrade kit
Install new wiring loom (lots of reasons, plz don’t ask)
Finalise and install DBW ITB manifold and plenum
Upgrade original old radiator and coolant reroute
Fix oil leaks from cam seals, oil pump or wherever it is coming from.
Fluidampr harmonic balancer
Stronger oil pump gears

Nice to meet you all.
