Why 3 balancing wires and not 4?

    What batteries are you using?

Question I can't at once find answer for... If I use 4s2p battery packs, how will charger understand this? That it needs to balance 8 cells. I think 2p is the way to go for most possible current

@AlexLTDLX can you share how did you put wheel on the shaft here?

I bought a Hobbywing ESC - Is this our Holy Grail?

Yes, I like that idea of not charging batteries fully. Although it's still pretty dangerous if for example I use 13*3.8V cells and at some point they will be charged to 3.9V => overvoltage. BTW how did you setup in-car charging in your car? How many chargers? Edit: just read that some chargers...

Does turbo under boost have any axial load?

I was checking all your and "wb projects" videos and saw him switching on turbo not secured in place. Yes it moved radially from discharge, but I haven't noticed any tendency to move axially towards inlet

GOOD NEWS FOR THE WB E-TURBO

Did you try to hold turbo in the hand while boosting, does it pull strong towards intake?

Does turbo under boost have any axial load?

Has anyone tried to hold turbo in the hand while boosting, does it pull strong towards intake?

I bought a Hobbywing ESC - Is this our Holy Grail?

OK I guess the best way to counter voltage drop is to just buy ESC capable of handling more voltage than motor and use 1-2 extra cells + throttling if needed... Damn

I bought a Hobbywing ESC - Is this our Holy Grail?

No way to add couple of cells in series while voltage is low under load?

I bought a Hobbywing ESC - Is this our Holy Grail?

So there is no such thing as "4.2V batteries" or 50.4V batteries? This is max voltage when freshly charged, and it quickly drops to ~3.7V? If so, than after initial full-charge is gone, I would need to switch to 13S instead of 12S, to keep max possible voltage (assuming 12S system)? Also I see...

I very much hope that I can use one of widely recommended Lipo chargers (they're about $100)

Sounds too complicated  I see that Lipo chargers can also be powered by 6-30V DC input. Question is, can you simultaneously have batteries plugged into ESC (and dumping power) and plugged into charger? Like a normal car battery. And like any other electronics like laptops, smartphones etc.

@AlexLTDLX did you try to turn charger on while in hands? I don't remember for sure. I am interested, does it really cause considerable axial force on the compressor

I bought a Hobbywing ESC - Is this our Holy Grail?

Confused about voltage. So are there battery packs with 3.7V and there are with 4.2V?

One more thing I'm forgetting to ask. Did you run your car with e-charger switched off? I wonder how much restriction it is for V8 to suck air through compressor when it's off (whether I need a bypass valve when charger is off).

I found some videos on Youtube with guys pushing 20-25KW of power with Castle/TP motors. Asked what this guy (25.5KW, looks like TP Power) runs: 2 more guys running 20KW+ on Castle 2028 1700 (can post if you like to see)

I've been waiting for your input patiently (almost :D) Hope you got your dyno and other stuff sorted :) My bad, when I was thinking about 12V system, I was thinking about some 600Amps, so only about 7KW with an optimistic V drop. Not enough. Miscalculation at my side. BTW I think I have seen...
